Congregation Emeth's youth group is for teens beginning in the  first year after bar/bat mitzvah and continuing through grade 12. The name Emet Dor Kef derives from the Hebrew phrase for fun generation, "dor kef."

Emet Dor Kef provides teens with a continuing Jewish education in an informal atmosphere.

Functioning in many ways like a club, Emet Dor Kef meets regularly at Congregation Emeth and also engages in offsite events and activities. A classroom teacher leads twice-a-month discussions on Jewish ethics and values. Programs include monthly activities, weekend retreats with teens from other temples, and out-of-town weekends. In addition, Rabbi Israel leads a monthly social, religious, or community service program.

The teens meet two or three times a month in the evening. Please check Congregation Emeth’s online calendar for the dates of upcoming meetings.

At the end of grade 10, 11, or 12, students enrolled in Emet Dor Kef may participate in a confirmation ceremony.
